The perpetrator, a 16-year-old local resident, was exposed by district police officers together with investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2.
On January 9, on the territory of one of the forest parks on Kurmanovych Street in Lviv, during the inspection of the service area, district police officers noticed a young guy who was behaving suspiciously and was trying to avoid a meeting with the law enforcement officers. He had with him 8 “bookmarks” with a substance of plant origin of green color, probably “marijuana”.
An investigative and operative group of the territorial division of the police worked at the scene of the incident. The police identified the boy as a 16-year-old from Lviv.
Later, law enforcement officers found 5 more “bookmarks” with the same substance on the territory of the park, which the attacker managed to make earlier. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of four to eight years.
