In Lviv, the police took into custody an intruder suspected of murdering a roommate

The 47-year-old man from Lviv faces up to fifteen years in prison for his crime.

As the employees of police department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 established, on March 6, around 8:00 p.m., a 47-year-old man from Lviv brutally beat his 52-year-old roommate during a domestic conflict in an apartment of one of the buildings on Khvylovoy Street in Lviv. The man inflicted numerous blows on the woman, in particular, on the head and other parts of the body, causing injuries from which she died.

On March 7, investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Galicia District Prosecutor’s Office, informed the perpetrator of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Article 115 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – from seven to fifteen years of imprisonment.

According to the court’s decision, the police took the suspect into custody.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
