The perpetrator, who was selling “Subutex” and “amphetamine” tablets, was exposed by operatives of the criminal police of police department No. 2 of Lviv district police department No. 2.
As the law enforcement officers established, a 27-year-old man from Lviv was selling narcotic substances on the territory of Lviv, and on March 8 he was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine after another execution.
In the course of an authorized search of the detainee’s residence, law enforcement officers discovered and seized zip-top bags with a white substance that looked like “amphetamine”, packaging equipment, electronic scales, funds obtained from illegal activities, as well as other physical evidence. Everything removed is directed to expert research.
Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office, opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of four to eight years.
