The cost of one “ticket” was $5,500.
The operatives of the strategic investigations department in the Lviv region and the investigators of the investigative department of the regional police blocked the illegal channel of the transfer of men of conscription age abroad and identified its organizer. The “transfer” was organized by the director of a company that provides employment services for citizens abroad.
The woman produced a package of forged documents, on the basis of which evaders could cross the border without hindrance. The transfer of persons took place on the territory of the Lviv region, which borders the Republic of Poland. Details regarding the time and place of crossing of the “tourist” were reported several hours before the crossing itself. The cost of the “ticket” was $5,500.
On July 5, operatives and investigators detained the organizer while receiving a part of the agreed amount – 2,000 US dollars. The woman was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of notifying her of suspicion under Art. 332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the selection of a preventive measure.
Investigations were carried out under the procedural guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
