In Lviv, the police arrested a criminal on suspicion of theft from a car

On August 1, around 10:30 a.m., a 21-year-old resident of the Kirovohrad region contacted the emergency line 102 with a report about the theft of personal belongings from the Jeep Compass car parked on Zustrichnaya Street in Lviv.

An investigative-operational group and employees of other services of police department No. 1 of Lviv district police department No. 1 worked at the scene of the incident. Through the conducted measures and with the help of Bezpechna Lvivshchyna video surveillance cameras, the operatives of the criminal police established that a 45-year-old woman from Lviv was involved in the theft. She was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Stolen property and other tangible evidence were seized from the detainee.

According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years. Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the perpetrator.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
