In Lviv, the police arrested a criminal on suspicion of shoplifting

On August 23, at 5:40 p.m., the police received a report from the administrator of one of the stores on Dragana Street in Lviv about the theft of goods.

An investigative-operational group and employees of other services of police department No. 2 of Lviv district police department No. 2 worked at the scene of the incident. Through the conducted measures, operatives established that a 29-year-old woman from Lviv was involved in the theft, and detained her in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The law enforcement officers also discovered and seized physical evidence from her.

According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing. Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
