In Lviv, the police arrested a criminal on suspicion of murdering a roommate

The 47-year-old woman from Lviv faces a penalty of seven to fifteen years in prison for her crime.

A report about a man with a stab wound to the chest was received by the police on January 9 from medics. Despite the efforts of doctors, the victim died in intensive care.

At the scene of the crime, the investigative and operative group, operatives of the criminal police, forensic experts and employees of other services of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 worked.

As the law enforcement officers established, on the eve of the evening of January 8, at 10:40 p.m., in one of the apartments on Uhorska Street in Lviv, a sudden conflict arose between a 47-year-old woman and her 71-year-old roommate, during which she stabbed the pensioner in the chest, which later led to the death of the victim.

Law enforcement officers detained the perpetrator in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office, informed her of the suspicion of committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 115 (Deliberate murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of seven to fifteen years.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, the court will soon choose a preventive measure for the detainee.
