Lviv Sales Consultant Accused of Embezzling a Significant Sum
Embezzled almost 600,000 UAH – in Lviv, a sales consultant of a telecommunications retail network will stand trial.
The accused, a 20-year-old resident of Lviv, organized a scheme to embezzle funds generated from the sale of mobile phones, smartwatches, power banks, headphones, and related accessories.
Investigation and Accusation
As established by criminal police operatives in collaboration with investigators from police department No.1 of the Lviv District Police Administration No.2, under the procedural guidance of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office, the perpetrator misappropriated funds totaling 593,000 UAH over two months.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal case, initiated under Part 4 of Article 191 (Embezzlement, Misappropriation of Property, or Seizure of It by Abuse of Office) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and Parts 1 and 3 of Article 362 (Unauthorized Actions with Information Processed in Computers, Automated Systems, Computer Networks or Stored on Such Information Carriers, Committed by a Person with Access Rights) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, is complete. The indictment has been submitted for court consideration.
Possible Punishment
The maximum penalty the accused faces is imprisonment for up to eight years with prohibition from holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for up to three years.
