In Lviv, law enforcement officers have exposed an accomplice to the organizer of car arsons targeting military personnel and police officers, conducted on orders from Russia. The investigation identified a 45-year-old native of the Donetsk region, who, allegedly being in an occupied territory, took part in co-organizing the crime.
- The accomplice directly communicated with the executor, providing instructions regarding the arson target.
- The executor’s task was to capture the arson moment on video and send it to the client through the organizer.
Police operations prevented the destruction of the vehicle. Under the guidance of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the detainee has been charged with organizing the crime (part 3 of article 27, part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 15, part 2 of article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The investigation is conducted by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region with the support of the Lviv Department of Internal Security.
According to article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime until their guilt is proven in a legal manner and a guilty verdict is issued by the court.
