The accused, who is in custody, faces imprisonment for up to ten years.
According to law enforcement officers, on January 8, in an apartment in a house on Horodotska Street in Lviv, while drinking alcohol, a conflict arose between Lviv residents aged 28 and 34, during which the younger man severely beat the older one, causing him serious bodily harm, and fled the scene. The victim died from his injuries.
The police established the offender’s whereabouts and detained him.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine has been completed. The indictment was sent to the court for consideration.
Criminal police operatives, forensic experts, investigators and employees of other services of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1, as well as employees of the Criminal Analysis Department of the Lviv Police were involved in solving the crime.
