As the law enforcement officers established, a 43-year-old woman from Lviv organized in the apartment of one of the buildings on Zubrivska Street a place for the use of psychotropic drugs, in particular “PVP”. At the same address, the “clients” of the attacker could purchase prohibited substances.
The police officers documented several episodes of the criminal’s illegal activity and detained her in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
During the warranted search, the law enforcement officers found and seized a substance similar to the psychotropic drug “PVP”, packaging materials and other physical evidence. Everything seized was sent to the Lviv Research Expert Forensic Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for research.
Pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings opened under part 2 of article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and part 1 of article 317 (Organization or maintenance of places for illegal use, production or manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, completed. The indictment is referred to the court.
The maximum penalty for the accused is imprisonment for a term of up to ten years with confiscation of property.
Criminal police operatives together with investigators of police department No. 2 of Lviv district police department No. 2 exposed the perpetrator, under the procedural guidance of the Frankiv District Prosecutor’s Office.
