The traffic accident occurred on July 27, around 11:50 a.m., at the intersection of Doroshenko Street and Svobody Avenue in Lviv.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Renault Sandero car, a 23-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Yavoriv district, hit a pedestrian, a ten-year-old man from Lviv.
As a result of the accident, the boy was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
