The law enforcement officers once again appeal to the citizens – be as attentive and careful as possible while on the railway tracks, cross them only in the prescribed months, making sure that there is no train. Remember that the railway is a high-danger zone.
The traffic incident occurred on September 5, around 11:20 p.m., on Beloruska Street in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the electric train ran over a 28-year-old man from Lviv, who suddenly ran onto the track.
The man died at the scene from his injuries.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 276 (Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway, water or air transport) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to ten years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
