The traffic accident occurred on January 24, around 11:40 a.m., on Zamarstynivska Street in Lviv.
As law enforcement officers have preliminarily established, the driver of a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ambulance, a 31-year-old resident of a village in Lviv district, was driving with blue flashing lights on and hit a pedestrian, a 31-year-old Lviv resident.
As a result of the accident, the woman was injured and taken to a medical facility.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
