The traffic accident happened on October 30, around 2:00 p.m., on Zelenia Street in Lviv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the “DAF” car, a 63-year-old resident of the Kyiv region, hit a cyclist, a 65-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the two-wheeler was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
