Today, on the street Yuriy Rufa, 5 (former Nekrasova St.), unknown persons stole a container for collecting cans, which are used to make trench candles. LKP “Lvivspetskomuntrans” is preparing a statement to the police.
“We suspect that it happened in the dark, when there was no light. The site is located in an open area, near the road, where there is a lot of traffic.
Our lawyer is already preparing a statement to the police. Thieves must be found and punished. And not even because they caused material damage. While some people are sorting tin cans, others are making trench candles from them for our defenders, someone is doing mean things for their own profit.
The stolen container is easy to recognize, it is covered with stickers with information about the collection of cans. It is difficult to hide or not notice. It is possible that someone has information about this incident or saw something suspicious – please inform us or the police,” Lvivspetskomuntrans LKP reported.
We will remind you that at the end of October, the Lviv Special Commune Transport Company launched a collection of cans for the manufacture of trench candles for the military. So, 10 special reservoirs were placed in the Lychakiv district at the following addresses: str. Barvinsky, 16; Lysenko, 32; Muchna, 32; Yuriy Rufa, 5 (former Nekrasova St.); Nizhynska, 9; Parfanovichiv, 3; Piskova, 17; Smolskoho, 7; Cheremshiny, 6 and Chernihivska, 7.
Already in the first two weeks, Lvivspetskomuntrans collected 10 bags of tin containers. All collected containers are given to volunteers to make trench candles for the Armed Forces.
