Man Detained in Lviv for Allegedly Killing Brother During Argument

On December 10, around 8:00 PM, a man’s body with signs of violent death was discovered in an apartment on Skoryny Street in Lviv. Police identified the victim’s younger brother as the suspect in the fatal stabbing that occurred during a dispute.

Incident Details

Investigators revealed that the tragedy unfolded during a drinking session between the two brothers, aged 40 and 44. A quarrel escalated, leading the younger brother to stab the elder in the chest, causing his death at the scene.

Police Actions

Law enforcement, including an investigative team, forensic experts, and Lviv region police officers, responded to the scene. The suspect was detained under Article 208 of Ukraine’s Criminal Procedure Code.

He has been charged under Article 115, Part 1, of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Premeditated Murder), which carries a sentence of 7 to 15 years in prison.

Investigation Ongoing

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted under the supervision of the Frankivsk District Prosecutor’s Office.
