17-Year-Old Suspect Detained for Murder of Elderly Woman in Lviv

In Lviv, the patrol police swiftly apprehended a suspect in the murder of an elderly woman. The incident occurred on Tereshkovtsiv Street last evening.

Law enforcement officers received a report about a suspicious individual who entered the stairwell of an apartment building, possibly armed, and knocked on several doors. A police crew arrived on the scene within minutes. Witnesses stated that the individual had entered a neighbor’s apartment but soon fled.

Upon entering the apartment, officers discovered the body of an elderly woman showing clear signs of a violent death. All police units were mobilized to locate the perpetrator.

While inspecting the surrounding area, officers from the 3rd Battalion noticed a young man matching the description. His torn clothes and brown stains on his face, hands, and attire raised suspicion. The individual was immediately detained and identified as a 17-year-old male.

The investigative team and juvenile police worked at the crime scene. The suspect was taken into custody under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He now faces criminal charges for murder and hooliganism.
