The traffic accident happened on July 18 around 8:00 p.m. in the town of Glynany, Lviv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the VAZ-2109 car, a 19-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, hit a cyclist, a 23-year-old local resident. As a result of the collision, the cyclist received injuries and was hospitalized.
According to the fact, investigators of police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
