Lviv region to try an offender who beat his friend, causing him fatal injuries
According to the Yavoriv District Police Department, the men had been in a hostile relationship for a long time.
The accused faces a sentence of imprisonment for up to ten years for his crime.
On 19 July, around 16.00, in Novoyavorivsk, a 52-year-old local resident punched another 66-year-old resident of the city in the face during a conflict, who fell and sustained a severe head injury. The victim was subsequently taken to hospital, where, despite the efforts of doctors, he died a few days later.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm) has been completed. The indictment was sent to the court for consideration.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.
