Man Arrested in Radekhiv for Stabbing Partner and Her Teenage Son

Police in Radekhiv have detained a man accused of stabbing his partner and her 14-year-old son, who tried to defend her during a domestic dispute. The suspect faces up to eight years in prison. The victims have been hospitalized.

On December 15, around 12:30 a.m., police received a report about an incident on Stefanyka Street in Radekhiv, where a woman and her teenage son were injured.

Law enforcement officers from Sheptytskyi District Police Department, including detectives and investigators, promptly arrived at the scene.

Incident Details
Investigations revealed that the conflict erupted the previous evening between a 46-year-old man and his 36-year-old partner. During the altercation, the suspect stabbed the woman three times. Her 14-year-old son intervened to protect her but was also attacked, sustaining severe abdominal injuries.

Both victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Legal Actions and Charges
The suspect was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. A court will soon decide on the preventive measure.

Under the supervision of the Sheptytskyi District Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect has been charged under Part 1 of Article 121 (“Intentional Grievous Bodily Harm”) and Part 1 of Article 125 (“Intentional Light Bodily Harm”) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. These charges carry a penalty of five to eight years of imprisonment.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
