The law enforcement officers remind once again that in the conditions of martial law, the maximum punishments are provided for committing theft, robbery, robbery, extortion, as well as for misappropriation, waste of property or taking possession of it by abuse of official position.
As the employees of police department No. 1 of the Chervonograd district police department established, on August 18, a visitor to one of the shops located in the city of Radekhiv stole a mobile phone and ran away.
Through the conducted measures, the law enforcement officers quickly established that a 35-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district was involved in the crime and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the detainee. Physical evidence was taken from him.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is up to eight years of imprisonment.
