They were installed on the facade of the Radenychi secondary school.
The day before, on 11 February, the memorial plaques were unveiled in the village of Radenychi of the Mostyska AH, the Yavoriv Rayon State Administration reports.
The first one was unveiled in honour of Roman Burbil, a local school graduate who died on 29 August 2023 while defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine. The second one was unveiled in honour of Bohdan Vozniak, who died during a combat mission on 10 June 2023. They were installed on the façade of the Radenytsia Secondary School.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by parents, relatives and friends of the victims, teachers and students, community members, and representatives of the Mostyska City Council. After the unveiling of the plaques, the participants laid flowers and candles.
The rector of the church held a memorial prayer service and blessed the memorial signs. The attendees bowed their heads in silence and paid tribute to the cherished memory of Roman, Bohdan and all the soldiers who died in the struggle for freedom, territorial integrity and unity of Ukraine.
“From now on, the memorial signs on the school wall will be a constant reminder for us and future generations of the patriotism and heroic deeds of the defenders of our homeland. The bright memory of the Heroes will remain in our hearts forever,” the Yavoriv District Administration said.
