The traffic accident occurred on May 1, around 11:30 a.m., in the village of Skvaryava, Zolochiv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Volkswagen Golf car, a 37-year-old local resident, hit a pedestrian, a 46-year-old resident of the same village.
As a result of the accident, a female pedestrian was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Zolochiv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
