In the village of Suhovolya, Lviv district, four pedestrians were injured as a result of a car collision

The traffic accident occurred on July 23, around 00:15, in the village of Suhovolya, Lviv district.

As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the BMW X5 car, a 39-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, while driving in reverse, hit four residents of the district – women aged 21, 27, and 48 and a 20-year-old man.

As a result of the accident, the pedestrians were injured and taken to medical facilities.

It was established that the driver of the car was intoxicated.

According to the fact, the investigators of the Police Department No. 3 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 2 opened criminal proceedings under part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.

An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
