Five people, including two children, were injured in a car collision in the village of Yampil

The traffic accident occurred on October 17, around 7:30 p.m., on the Kyiv-Chop highway in the village of Yampil, Lviv district.

As previously established by the law enforcement officers, there was a collision between the Mercedes Sprinter, driven by a 37-year-old resident of the Zakarpattia region, and the Iveco, driven by a 21-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Zolochiv district.

As a result of the accident, the drivers of the vehicles and three passengers of the Mercedes Sprinter: a four-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy from the Cherkasy region, as well as a 66-year-old resident of the Kirovohrad region, were injured and taken to medical facilities.

According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286-1 (Violation of the rules of road traffic safety or operation of transport by persons driving vehicles while intoxicated) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of three to five years.

Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
