Conflict in Sheptytskyi: Woman Stabs Acquaintance

In Sheptytskyi, police detained a female offender who stabbed an acquaintance. It was established that a conflict arose between the woman and her guest during the consumption of alcoholic beverages. The suspect faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to eight years. The injured party is in the hospital.

Incident Details

On April 14, around 23:00, police received a report that a man had been stabbed in an apartment on Chornovola Street in Sheptytskyi. Operatives from the criminal police, investigators, and other officers from the Sheptytskyi district police department promptly arrived at the scene.

Police determined that on that evening, a conflict arose between the 46-year-old female homeowner and her 22-year-old guest, a resident of Sheptytskyi, during the consumption of alcohol. During the escalation, the offender inflicted knife wounds to the man’s chest and head, causing severe bodily harm. The victim was hospitalized.

Legal Consequences

The offender was detained under Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural guidance of the Sheptytskyi district prosecutor’s office, informed her of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense under part 1 of Art. 121 (Intentional grave bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article’s sanction provides for a penalty of imprisonment from five to eight years. The pre-trial investigation continues.
