The 34-year-old man was detained thanks to video surveillance cameras
In Sokal, law enforcement officers arrested a previously convicted man on suspicion of stealing an electric generator from the sports complex.
This was reported by the National Police of Lviv on the morning of December 8.
As indicated in the message, in the evening of December 7, the police received a message that from the sports complex on the street An Einhell electric generator was stolen from Sheptytskyi in Sokal. Investigators worked on the spot and with the help of surveillance video, they established that a 34-year-old local resident with a previous conviction was involved in the theft.
The suspect has been detained, soon the court will choose the measure of preventive measure.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 (theft) of the Criminal Code. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.
