The accident occurred on 20 September, around 22.15, on Sheptytskoho Street in Sokal.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that the driver of a Musstang motorcycle, a 16-year-old local resident, hit a pedestrian, a 14-year-old resident of a village in Chervonohrad district.
As a result of the accident, the pedestrian was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 2 of the Chervonohrad District Police Department opened criminal proceedings over the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
