The traffic accident happened on August 31 around 12:30 in the city of Yavoriv.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the VAZ-21013 car, a 67-year-old local resident, while performing a U-turn maneuver, ran into a 37-year-old resident of one of the villages of the district, who was standing next to the car parked on the side of the road. As a result of the collision, the woman received bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the Yavoriv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
An investigation is underway, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
