In the Zolochiv district, the police searched for an 11-year-old girl who got lost in the forest

The police found the child 8 kilometers from the place of residence. The schoolgirl was returned to her parents.

Today, around one in the morning, the police received a report from a 43-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Zolochiv district about the disappearance of her daughter, a 6th grade student.

According to the mother, on September 19, around 6:00 p.m., the daughter left the house and did not return. Around 8:00 p.m., the child called his mother and reported that he was lost. After that, the telephone connection with her was cut off. At first, the parents tried to find the child on their own, and after unsuccessful attempts, they turned to the police.

Employees of all services of the Zolochiv district police department, dog handlers with service dogs, a search and rescue team, as well as employees of the Brodiv Forestry and interested citizens were involved in the search for the minor.

The girl was found around seven o’clock in the morning in a forest eight kilometers from the house. As the law enforcement officers established, the minor decided to go to a friend in a nearby village, but got lost in the forest, where her phone ran out of power.

There is no threat to the girl’s life or health.
