In Mykolaiv, the police arrested a criminal involved in an attempt to steal goods and proceeds from a store

The law enforcement officers remind once again that in the conditions of martial law, the maximum punishments are provided for committing theft, robbery, robbery, extortion, as well as for misappropriation, waste of property or possession of it by abuse of official position.

As the employees of police department No. 2 of the Stryi district police department established, on the night of September 25 in the city of Mykolaiv, an intruder broke into a store, where he tried to steal goods and money – proceeds in the amount of about 1,300 hryvnias.

The investigation and operation group, the crews of the response groups of the patrol police, operatives of the criminal police and employees of other services of the territorial division of the police were involved in solving the crime. Through the conducted measures, law enforcement quickly established that a 29-year-old resident of Mykolaiv was involved in the theft. Physical evidence was taken from him.

According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police opened criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Article 15, Part 4 of Article 185 (Attempt to commit theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is up to eight years of imprisonment.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
