The man and his “wife” were caught at the border with Poland during a document check.
At the Hrushev checkpoint, border guards of the 7th Carpathian Border Guard Detachment exposed a newly married couple trying to leave Ukraine. A 20-year-old native of Prykarpattia intended to cross the border with the help of a woman with a disability. The “wife” was to receive USD 1,300 for her services after crossing the state border.
According to the “newlyweds”, the man was supposed to receive the status of a person accompanying a person with a disability. However, the plans of the pseudo-family were revealed by border guards.
In the conversation, the family admitted that their marriage, by the way, was arranged on 15 June.
Operational officers of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment sent a report on detection of signs of a criminal offence under Art. 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine”.
