An attempt to illegally import undeclared goods across the Ukrainian-Polish border was thwarted by border guards together with customs officials at the Sheghini checkpoint.
A 41-year-old Ukrainian traveled from Spain to Ukraine in a MAN truck. During the inspection, the driver reported that he was transporting humanitarian aid. On the initiative of operatives, the vehicle was sent for additional inspection. Subsequently, the inspection team discovered the undeclared cargo. Under the guise of humanitarian aid, a resident of Lviv region tried to illegally move a used tractor, motorcycle, compressors and tires.
A report was drawn up on this fact. “Finds”, the value of which is determined, were seized by customs officials.
