The detainee stabbed the victim with a knife, causing serious bodily harm. The man died in hospital from his injuries.

On 8 November, at about 23.00, the police received a report from doctors that, having arrived at a house on Lysenko Street in Radekhiv, they had found a man with a stab wound and hospitalised him.

An investigative team and officers from other services of the Chervonohrad District Police Department No. 1, as well as forensic experts from the Lviv Police Department, immediately arrived at the scene.

As law enforcement officers established, a domestic conflict arose between the 38-year-old owner of the apartment and his partner, a 40-year-old local resident, during which the woman stabbed the man. Despite the efforts of medics, the victim died in hospital.

The offender was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The court will soon choose a measure of restraint.

Investigators of the territorial police unit, under the procedural supervision of the Chervonohrad District Prosecutor’s Office, served the detainee a notice of suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2 of Article 121 (Intentional grievous bodily harm) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The article provides for imprisonment for a term of seven to ten years.
