In the city of Rava-Ruska, the police arrested an intruder on suspicion of distributing “amphetamine”
For what he committed, the suspect, a 25-year-old local resident, faces a penalty of imprisonment for up to ten years with confiscation of property.
On June 26, around three o’clock in the morning, the police officers of the response sector of the patrol police of the police department No. 2 of the Lviv district police department No. 1, while patrolling the service area, noticed a suspicious man in the park of the city of Rava-Ruska. Seeing the law enforcement officers, the passer-by tried to run away, but he did not succeed.
The man had with him 8 bags with a white powdery substance similar to the narcotic drug “amphetamine” and electronic scales, which were later seized and sent for expert examination.
An investigative and operative group of the territorial division of the police worked at the scene of the incident. The police identified the perpetrator, a 25-year-old local resident, and detained him in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.
Investigators informed the detainee of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Article 307 (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, forwarding or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is imprisonment for a term of up to ten years with confiscation of property.
Soon, the court will choose a preventive measure for the suspect
