As a result of a triple traffic accident involving two trucks and a car, the driver of a Citroen was injured – law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident
The traffic accident occurred on July 20, at 9:15 a.m., in the village of Malekhiv, Lviv district.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, a 46-year-old resident of the Rivne region, driving a Scania truck with a trailer, collided with a Citroen Picasso driven by a 35-year-old resident of the city of Lviv. After that, the passenger car was thrown onto the “DAF” road train, which was moving in the same direction under the control of a 38-year-old resident of Zakarpattia region.
As a result of the accident, the driver of the Citroen car was injured and taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of the police department No. 1 of the Lviv district police department No. 1 opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing, law enforcement officers are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
