Media outlets are spreading false information about new fines for the absence of a first aid kit or fire extinguisher.
Oleksiy Biloshytskyi stated: “No new fines for first aid kit or fire extinguisher — this is a fake!” The requirements for the equipment of vehicles have remained unchanged for many years. They are clearly defined in the Road Traffic Rules. Your vehicle must have a first aid kit, a warning triangle or a red flashing beacon that meets the standards, and a functional fire extinguisher. These requirements apply to most categories of vehicles, such as motorcycles, cars, trucks, buses, minibuses, wheeled tractors, etc. The sanctions stipulated by the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine have also not changed for several years. Be careful and verify information only from reliable sources!
