A cyclist was injured as a result of a car collision in Brody, police are investigating the circumstances.
Lviv police urge drivers to comply with traffic rules, not exceed the speed limit, and stay focused on the road. Cyclists are requested to be careful on the roadway and use reflective elements at night. “Protect life and health – yours and that of other road users,” stress the law enforcement officers.
The accident occurred on May 11 at 11:00 at the intersection of Bohuna-Sheptytskoho streets. The driver of a Nissan Note, a 38-year-old resident of the Rivne region, collided with a 58-year-old cyclist. The man sustained bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Investigators have opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty is up to three years’ restriction of liberty with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years. Police are establishing the circumstances of the event.
