Unfortunately, three children were killed and 60 others were injured in road accidents.
Since the beginning of 2024, 1828 road accidents have been registered on the roads of Lviv and the region, 286 of which involved victims. Of this number of accidents, 63 involved children, 51 of which involved victims.
Law enforcement officials urge parents to remind their children of the Road Safety Rules. In particular, they should cross the road only on pedestrian crossings, and ride a bicycle only on bicycle paths.
In addition, make sure that your child’s clothes and bicycles have reflective elements on them to make them visible in the dark.
And the police remind drivers to be especially careful when approaching educational institutions, pedestrian crossings and intersections, and follow the rules for transporting children.
