The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office stopped the illegal activities of the so-called “transit-conversion” group of enterprises that were operating in the territory of the city of Lviv.
It was established that the specified enterprises provided services for minimizing tax liabilities and artificial formation of tax credit to other business entities, by documenting financial and economic transactions, without actually carrying them out.
Thus, in order to comply with the decisions of the investigating judge, a number of searches were conducted in the office premises at the addresses of the economic activities of the SGS on the territory of the city of Lviv.
In the course of the searches, material evidence was found and seized, which testify to the commission of a crime, in particular: draft records and draft accounting, computer equipment, 32 seals of companies with signs of fictitiousness, which were part of the group, tax documentation, etc.
In addition, the director of the company, which illegally formed and overestimated the tax credit, as a result of which evaded payment of taxes to the budget in the amount of more than UAH 3.2 million, has already been notified of suspicion under Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The issue of appointing relevant studies and examinations, as well as other investigative actions, with the aim of establishing the involvement of other persons in the crime, including the activities of the State Security Service, seals and documents in relation to which were found during searches, the selection of preventive measures for the suspect and the imposition of arrest on property
Investigative actions were carried out jointly with the investigators of the SU GUNP in the Lviv region under the operational support of the USBU workers in the Lviv region.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
