The traffic accident occurred on August 16 at 4:15 p.m. on the Skhidnytsia-Pisochna highway in the city of Truskavets, Drohobytsky District
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer, a 26-year-old resident of the Zaporizhzhia region, collided with a Mercedes Benz Vito minibus driven by a 40-year-old local resident.
As a result of the accident, the drivers of both vehicles and three passengers of the passenger car were injured and taken to the hospital: a two-year-old boy, a 20-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man – all residents of the Zaporizhzhia region.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided by the sanction of the article is up to three years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
