The traffic accident occurred on February 8, around 00:40, on the highway “Kyiv-Chop” in the village of Sukhodoly, Zolochiv district.
As previously established by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Opel Zafira, a 21-year-old resident of Rivne, lost control and drove into a metal bumper.
As a result of the accident, the passenger of the car, a 17-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Rivne region, received bodily injuries and was taken to the hospital.
According to the fact, the investigators of police department No. 1 of the Zolochiv district police department opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is restriction of liberty for a term of up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years.
