Passenger of a car injured in Lviv region as a result of road accident – police establishing circumstances
The road accident occurred on 4 September, around 20.00, in the village of Zhyrova, Stryi district.
Law enforcement officers have preliminarily established that the driver of a ZAZ Forza, a 28-year-old local resident, lost control and drove into a pole and a fence.
As a result of the accident, a passenger in the car, a 29-year-old local resident, was injured and hospitalised.
Investigators of the Police Department No. 1 of the Stryi District Police Department opened a criminal investigation into the incident under Part 1 of Article 286 (Violation of the rules of road safety) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty provided for by the sanction of the article is restraint of liberty for up to three years, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
