Group Manufacturing Fake Medical Documents Uncovered in Lviv

The Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office has charged three members of an organized group accused of illegally transporting people across the Ukrainian border. According to the investigation, the criminal group included residents of the Lviv and Ternopil regions. They devised a plan to transport military-aged men abroad by creating fake medical documents with nonexistent diagnoses.

Based on these documents, the men received new military service papers certifying their unfitness for service. This allowed them to leave the country without hindrance. The services were priced at 5,000 USD per person, with payment possible in cash or via cryptocurrency wallet.

At least three individuals have been documented using this scheme. The property of one of the suspects has been seized. The investigation is ongoing to identify all involved parties with the participation of the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Lviv region and the National Police of Ukraine.
