Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Galician district prosecutor’s office of the city of Lviv, a 19-year-old man from Lviv was exposed and notified of suspicion for illegal acquisition, storage and sale of narcotics in a particularly large amount (Part 3 of Article 307 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the man from Lviv was involved in the sale of drugs, including PVP, LSP, marijuana, etc. The sale of prohibited substances was carried out wholesale and retail.
Orders were accepted through a specially created Telegram channel. He sent the goods by mail, and also made “bookmarks” on the territory of Lviv.
The law enforcement officers detained the suspect in accordance with Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine. He was on his way to the post office with another batch of orders. During a personal search, about 2 kg of PVP, 600 pieces of LSP, 300 g of methamphetamine and 300 mg of THC were found in his possession.
During searches of the detainee’s residence, 600 pre-packaged “bookmarks”, more than 3.6 kg of drugs, more than 1,200 drug-containing tablets, as well as electronic scales and packaging equipment were found and seized.
The estimated value of what was seized on the black market is about 7 million UAH.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the suspect.
Investigative actions are ongoing, the issue of appointing a number of examinations is being resolved. Other persons involved are being identified.
The pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 of the Main Department of the National Police of the region, under the operational support of the Department of Combating Narcotic Crime in the Lviv Region of the Department of Combating Narcotic Crime of the National Police of Ukraine.
Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
