Two shelters at the plant in Lviv will be brought into proper condition

The court decision satisfied the claims of the head of the Galician District Prosecutor’s Office in Lviv. The latter recognized as unlawful the company’s inaction in failing to take measures to bring the civil defense facilities into proper technical condition and readiness for sheltering the population and ordered it to bring them into a state of readiness.

We are talking about two shelters on the territory of the plant in Lviv, which are privately owned by the company. They have a capacity of 150 and 300 people and an area of 175.2 and 296.7 square meters, respectively.

Prosecutors found that the balance holder violated the requirements of the legislation in the field of industrial and fire safety. The company also failed to ensure that the protective structure was brought into a usable condition. Accordingly, this made it impossible to use the shelter to ensure proper protection of human life and health.

It should be noted that this shelter was supposed to protect the plant’s employees.

The Lviv District Administrative Court upheld the validity of the prosecutor’s claims.

After the decision comes into force, the prosecutor’s office will ensure its actual implementation.
