In Lviv, the police detained two “tourers” who committed theft from the apartment of a local resident

The law enforcement officers warn once again: in the conditions of martial law, the maximum punishment is provided for theft, robbery, robbery, extortion and looting.

On September 14, around 8:00 p.m., a 52-year-old woman from Lviv contacted the police and reported that unknown persons committed a theft from her apartment on Novoznesenska Street.

The investigative and operative group and other employees of the Lviv District Police Department No. 1 worked at the scene of the incident. According to the law enforcement officers, the perpetrators illegally broke into the victim’s apartment and stole tools and other valuables.

Soon, the police identified the perpetrators involved in the crime – two residents of the Donetsk region, aged 42 and 29, and detained them in accordance with Art. 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Physical evidence (stolen property of the applicant) was seized from them.

According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial division of the police, under the procedural guidance of the Galician weapons prosecutor’s office, opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 185 (Theft committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of five to eight years.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
