In Lviv, a pseudo-law enforcement officer from Horlivka, who was working for the enemy, was suspected

Under the procedural leadership of the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the citizen of Ukraine was informed of the suspicion. He is charged with collaborative activity and participation in a terrorist organization (Part 7 of Article 111-1, Part 1 of Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, in 2014, a resident of the Donetsk region left the position of inspector of the fire and rescue service and voluntarily went over to the side of the enemy.

The man joined the illegally created law enforcement body of the Russian Federation.

In particular, from September 2014 to August 2022, he was assigned to the 23rd fire-rescue unit of the State Fire-Rescue Squad of the city of Horlivka of the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergency Situations and Disaster Relief.

The latter held the following positions there: chief inspector of fire supervision, chief state inspector of fire supervision, head of the group of supervisory activities and preventive work. Subsequently, he held the position of acting chief state inspector for fire supervision – head of the group of supervisory activities and preventive work with the special rank of captain of the civil protection service.

Advancing through the ranks, from August 2022 he was accepted to the Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work of the Mykytiv District of Horlivka, the Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work of the Horlivka City District, the Department of Supervisory Activities and Preventive Work of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation under DNR. There, the latter held the position of senior investigator with a special title – captain of the internal service.

While in pseudo-positions, the suspect took part in the activities of illegal organizations, thereby ensuring the formation and strengthening of the occupying power of the Russian Federation and the so-called “DPR” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

A special pre-trial investigation is carried out by the investigators of the TU SBU located in the city of Lviv, operational support is provided by the Office of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.

Note: in accordance with Art. 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proven in a legal manner and established by a court verdict.
