The traffic accident happened on September 6, around 08:00, on Pulyuya Street in Lviv.
As previously determined by the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Renault Megane car, a 36-year-old resident of one of the villages of the Lviv district, hit a pedestrian, a 76-year-old woman from Lviv.
As a result of the accident, an elderly woman was injured and hospitalized.
According to the fact, the investigators of the territorial unit of the police of the Lviv region opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 286 (Violation of traffic safety rules) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment – deprivation of liberty for a term of three to eight years with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a term of up to three years or without it.
Law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.
